As part of its community outreach and social responsibility initiatives, BIT Polytechnic students visited the Good Life Old-Age Home on 29 July 2025, creating a meaningful and enriching experience for both the students and the elderly residents.

During the visit, students actively engaged with the residents through conversations, group interactions, and shared activities that fostered warmth and empathy. They assisted in distributing meals, helped with basic chores, and spent quality time listening to the residents’ stories. Cultural activities, including songs and small performances by students, added joy and liveliness to the occasion.

The interaction provided students with valuable insights into the experiences, challenges, and resilience of senior citizens. The visit encouraged reflection on the importance of caring for elders, strengthening family values, and addressing issues such as loneliness and well-being in old age.

Students also contributed essential supplies, including food and basic amenities, collected through their collective efforts. This initiative promoted teamwork, civic responsibility, and a spirit of service while supporting the well-being of the residents.

Overall, the visit was a fulfilling outreach activity that strengthened intergenerational bonds, fostered mutual respect, and nurtured compassion and gratitude among students.
