Mechanical Engineering Diploma Students Gain Industry Exposure at Deccan Plast

Students from the Mechanical Engineering Department of BIT Polytechnic, Mangaluru, visited Deccan Plast Industry, Kambalapadav, Konaje, on 22 August 2025 as part of their industrial exposure program.

The visit provided students with practical insights into plastic product manufacturing, including an overview of production processes, machinery and equipment, and quality control practices followed in the industry. Interactions with industry professionals helped students understand the real-world application of mechanical engineering concepts in manufacturing environments.

The industrial visit significantly enhanced students’ practical knowledge, strengthened their understanding of industrial operations, and encouraged them to explore innovative approaches in mechanical engineering. Faculty members emphasized the importance of such industry interactions in developing technical skills and industrial awareness.
