NSS Volunteers Spread Compassion at Snehalaya Rehabilitation Center
NSS volunteers of Bearys Institute of Technology Polytechnic visited Snehalaya Rehabilitation Center, Manjeshwar, fostering compassion, social responsibility, and community engagement.

As part of its ongoing National Service Scheme (NSS) initiatives, the NSS Unit of Bearys Institute of Technology Polytechnic, Mangalore, in association with the Computer Science and Civil Engineering departments, organized a visit to Snehalaya Rehabilitation Centre, Manjeshwar, on 28 July 2025.
The visit aimed to promote social responsibility, compassion, and community engagement among students. NSS volunteers extended their support by donating essential items and spending meaningful time interacting with the residents. These interactions provided an opportunity for the residents to share their experiences while fostering empathy and understanding among the students.
A cultural programme was also organized, featuring songs, skits, and performances by both students and residents. The event created a warm and joyful atmosphere, strengthening bonds and spreading positivity within the community.
The activity helped instil values of empathy, service, and social awareness among the volunteers, while encouraging and uplifting the residents of the rehabilitation centre. Overall, the visit was a meaningful and enriching experience that reinforced the spirit of humanity and service among NSS volunteers.
